Earlobe Repair
Restore the unity.
Mend the soft and pliable tissue in your earlobes that have torn, split or stretched for a renewed appearance.
Details
Earlobe repair mends the soft and pliable tissue in earlobes that have torn, split or stretched as a result of an accident, injury or wearing heavy earrings for a prolonged period of time.
Consultation
During your one-on-one consultation, Dr. Park will listen to your concerns and develop a fully customized treatment plan to help you achieve your aesthetic goals. We believe in tailoring each surgery to the needs of the patient, and never want you to have more surgery than is necessary for the most natural-looking results.
Procedure
During earlobe repair surgery, small incisions are created around your earlobe to bring together and recreate its original appearance. Only elongated or overstretched earlobes will require removing excess tissue. Patients who have torn earlobes typically do not need to have any tissue removed. The surgery is performed in our private procedure suite using local anesthesia, which ensures you are awake but comfortable throughout the 30 minute procedure.
Recovery
After surgery, you may feel some mild tenderness and swelling. This is normal and typically diminishes within a few days. Sutures will be removed from your ears 5-7 days following your procedure, at which time you’ll be able to see the full results of your earlobe repair. It is strongly advised to refrain from wearing earrings or re-piercing your ears for 2-3 months after surgery.
